The Colin Montgomerie Links Golf Academy is one of the world's premier teaching and practice facility for links golf and offers excellent opportunities for both individuals and groups.

Each Turnberry PGA golf professional has worked closely with Colin Montgomerie OBE and is trained in the 'Monty method', providing specialised links golf tuition and endeavouring to improve the golfers overall game.

The Academy provides a range of programmes specially designed to suit every golfer, from the scratch player to the first timer. Players can also view their swing in the audio-visual theatre and take home a DVD analysing their swing as momento of their day.

The Arran Academy Course

The challenging nine hole Arran course has been specifically designed to allow Colin's team of Turnberry P.G.A. professionals the opportunity to pass on advice and tips about links golf, course management, and to give an insight into how Colin plays and thinks his way around a golf Course.
The Arran course has all the challenge's that the world famous Ailsa and new Kintyre course have to offer, such as undulating greens, tight tee shots, pot bunkers and thick, Scottish rough. The holes are an exciting mixture of par 3's and 4's, which are aimed at every standard of golfer, from the novice to the advanced player. This excellent training ground allows the golfer to receive personalised tuition and to practice a full range of Links shots and techniques, in full view of the famous Turnberry lighthouse.

Family Tuition Package £99
Reviewed for 2011, Lesson package includes a 1-hour lesson for four people (2 adults and 2 children) using the state of the art teaching and practise facilities of the Academy. Family golf is designed for the family to experience Turnberry and spend time together.

Junior Golf Academy £100 per child
8 x 1 hour group lessons The Junior Programme at the Colin Montgomerie Links Golf Academy is designed to develop the skills your little one would like to develop in their game of golf. They will be taught the basic rules and etiquette as well as the skills required to play the game. Sessions will consist of: - Putting - Chipping and Pitching - Iron Play - Playing a Pitch and Putt course - Fairway Woods and Driver play - Playing 5 holes on a golf course keeping a score

3 Day Junior School (8-14 year olds) £150 per child
Turnberry Resort golf professionals will guide your child through the rules and etiquette of golf, whilst giving them the essential foundations towards a lifetime of participation in the game of golf. The ideal age to start learning golf is 8 years old. - Day 1: 1 hour lesson on Putting & Chipping - Day 2: 1 hour lesson on Iron & Wood play - Day 3: 1 hour lesson on specialised links shots followed by an accompanied round on the pitch and putt course with a Turnberry professional.
