Hole 15 - Perfect Play Explained

This testing par 4 is well protected off the tee with a wall of gorse down the right hand side and fairway bunkers along with thick rough down the left. Accuracy is the key with the drive and the best position to attack the green is from the left half of this fairway. After a well placed drive you are left with a shot of approximately 180 yards back into the prevailing wind. The green on the 15th slopes from back to the front and is therefore a bit more receptive to the approach shot, with that in mind, and trouble short of the green, you must make sure you have enough club to find the heart of the putting surface. This is a green where the borrows are more subtle than on others but no less care should be taken on what is a great par 4.
