Hole 14 - Perfect Play Explained

The first of the two par 5 on the back nine is a welcome birdie opportunity but respect must be shown to this tight par 5 hole. A drive up the right half of the fairway, avoiding the fairway bunker and gorse bushes on the right, will set up a good view of the green for your second shot. A long tee shot will give you the chance of possibly going for this green in two shots but whether laying up, or going for the green in two, the well placed pot bunker some 45 yards short of the green must be avoided as reading the green is no certainty from this deep bunker. A greenside bunker lies to the left of this green and a large slope is waiting to catch any ball leaving right, where a difficult drip shots awaits. Finding the heart of the green will offer one of the more easier putts on The Kintyre.
