For the first time in over ten years, Turnberry reopened its doors to celebrate two most magical events; Christmas and Hogmanay. A few highlights of this truely memorable festive season included:

• A gala dinner with live music and entertainment at 1906, Chirstmas carols and mulled wine around the grand piano, family board games in the Grand Tea Lounge
• The children's club, supervised sleepover parties, story telling sessions and classic Christmas movies
• A Hogmanay experience including champagne reception, a five course black tie dinner and a full programme of New Years Day activities

The Turnberry chefs showcased each of our bars, restaurants & lounges where there was a selection of tastings of our fine cuisine on offer throughout the afternoon. All attendees enjoyed sampling the new Sunday Brunch, our afternoon tea, whisky and various other delicacies.

In partnership with The Herald and Scottish Book Trust, four of Scotland's renowned children's authors offered interactive sessions and readings from a selection of their books. The event also featured four Book Bug sessions, supported by Scottish Book Trust and books by each author were available for sale. The event was a phenomenal success with over 80 children in attendance on the day. Many thanks to everyone involved.

Turnberry Resort in association with Krug, was delighted to host an exclusive epicurean experience on Wednesday 13 April 2011 at Turnberry Resort, Scotland.

The evening included an inspired, highly crafted fine dining experience created by Turnberry's Head Chef, Justin Galea, paired with a selection of Krug's finest champagnes.

In support of The Ayrshire Hospice, on 11th December 2009 Turnberry Resort hosted an exclusive event including a champagne reception, lavish lunch, cashmere fashion show, diamond display and a spectacular prize draw.

Turnberry Resort hosted its first Reading Weekend on the 26 and 27 March 2011. This exceptional and stylish experience captivated the mind of all who attended.

Guests were surrounded by like-minded individuals at the renowned Turnberry Resort, Scotland and David Nicholls, the guest author at this Reading Weekend read to guests and host a discussion on his latest novel "One Day".

Turnberry's Wedding Showcase, took place on March 5th 2011 and included invaluable hints and tips, as well as beautiful displays, from a wide range of wedding specialists. These include Scottish wedding dress designer Joyce Young, Lime Blue Diamond Store, Julie Lamont Photography, Houston Traditional Kiltmakers, Kirsties Flowers and the wedding band Skipinnish.

Turnberry Resort entertained guests with an illuminating fashion event in aid of Action for Children.

This event took place in The Turnberry Suite, Turnberry Resort on 25th November 2010.

The afternoon began with drinks and lunch and was followed by a fashion show featuring Ralph Lauren, Belinda Robertson Cashmere, Boudiche, Lime Blue, and Yvette Jelfs. A prize draw and silent auction was held and approximately £7,000 was raised on the day in aid of Action for Children, Scotland.
