Another successful and exciting Children's book event! In association with The Herald, Sunday Herald and Scottish Book Trust, four renowned children's authors hosted interactive sessions and readings from a selection of their books at Turnberry. Additionally, four engaging Book Bug sessions were organised by Scottish Book Trust and guests had the opportunity to visit Little Turnberry Farm. |

| Chae Strathie |
Chae started writing in his early 20’s, his first 2 books being the picture books – My Dad and The Tickle Tree. Chae writes for age groups 0-4 and 5-8. His current book, The Loon on the Moon was shortlisted in the 2011 Children’s Scottish Book Awards. |

| Ross Collins |
Following graduation from Glasgow School of Art in 1994, Ross won the Macmillan Children’s Book Prize and has gone on to win many others. He has illustrated over 70 books and has now written 8. Ross writes for age groups 0-4 and 5-8 and his current title, Dear Vampa, was shortlisted in the 2011 Children’s Scottish Book Awards. |

| Alison Murray |
Alison writes for age 0-4 years. Apple Pie ABC, her first book, was published in the UK in 2010. A second book, One Two That’s My Shoe, a follow up to Apple Pie ABC, was published in hardback in May 2011. Apple Pie ABC was long listed for the UK Literary Association award and shortlisted for the Children’s Scottish Book Award in 2011. Alison was also included in Books For Keeps Rising Talent in March 2011. |

| Joan Lennon |
Joan writes for a variety of age groups. Her books include The Wickit Chronicles series and The Slightly Jones Mysteries, the latest of which – The Case of the Cambridge Mummy – was released on 1st March 2012. Another from this series, Slightly Jones and the Case of the London Dragonfish was shortlisted in the 2011 Children’s Scottish Book Awards. |
