Following a multi-million pound renovation programme, the re-born Turnberry Resort, Scotland opened in July 2009 to host the 138th Open Championship. The Ailsa championship golf course has never been in a better condition. The iconic public areas of the hotel - including The Grand Tea Lounge - and 46 of the 198 luxuriously appointed guest rooms have been carefully restored and redesigned by the internationally acclaimed interior designer Mary Fox Linton. Shortly after the re-opening in 2009, Turnberry has been honoured by receiving some prestigious national and international accolades.
