Turnberry Resort, Scotland - Accolades
Following a multi-million pound renovation programme, the re-born Turnberry Resort, Scotland opened in July 2009 to host the 138th Open Championship. The Ailsa championship golf course has never been in a better condition. The iconic public areas of the hotel - including The Grand Tea Lounge - and 46 of the 198 luxuriously appointed guest rooms have been carefully restored and redesigned by the internationally acclaimed interior designer Mary Fox Linton. Throughout the years, Turnberry has been honoured by receiving some prestigious national and international accolades.
